Donoma Gymnastics: Program Pathways
At Donoma Gymnastics, we believe every child deserves a program designed for where they are developmentally, not just by age, but by how they learn and move. Our curriculum creates a clear pathway from infancy through school age, helping children build confidence, coordination, strength, and a lifelong love of movement.
As children grow, they naturally progress from parent-supported exploration to independent skill development, eventually choosing the program that best matches their interests.

Stage 1: Early Childhood Movement (4 Months–3.5 Years)
Designed to build the foundations for lifelong movement.
Our newest Early Childhood Movement Programs introduce babies, toddlers, and young children to movement through age-appropriate classes that support physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
As children grow, each class becomes a little more independent while continuing to emphasize play, exploration, and connection.
Programs include:

Parent & Baby (4-8 months):
Support your baby’s earliest movement milestones through tummy time, sensory exploration, rolling, reaching, and parent-child bonding.

Parent & Me (8-18 months):
As babies become mobile, classes focus on crawling, cruising, climbing, balance, and developing confidence through guided exploration.

Parent & Me (18-24 months):
Toddlers begin following simple directions while exploring obstacle courses, introductory gymnastics equipment, songs, and movement activities alongside their caregiver.

Parent & Me (2-3.5 years):
Children continue building independence through structured movement experiences that strengthen listening skills, body awareness, coordination, and confidence while parents remain active participants.
Stage 2: Independent Gymnastics (3.5–7 Years)
Once children are ready to participate independently, they move into our gymnastics curriculum where they continue developing the physical literacy and confidence established in our Early Childhood Movement programs.

Preschool (Ages 3.5–5):
Preschoolers continue to develop their skills with more structured lessons that introduce basic gymnastics techniques. The emphasis is on enhancing strength, flexibility, and coordination while fostering a love for the sport.

Kindergarten (Ages 5 & 6):
Our kindergarten program focuses on refining basic gymnastics skills, promoting body awareness, balance, and coordination. Classes are structured to build confidence and prepare children for more advanced gymnastics activities.

PlayGym Program (Ages 5–7):
PlayGym is the perfect outlet for energetic kids ready to jump, climb, tumble, and explore. This semi-structured class blends guided activities with open play, encouraging movement, imagination, and social connection in a safe, welcoming environment. Students can follow their curiosity, make new friends, and build confidence through play. From scaling obstacle courses to inventing their own games, PlayGym gives kids the space to be kids—while staying active and having fun!

JumpStart Class (Ages 6 & 7):
Our JumpStart Class bridges the gap between early childhood programs and our Grade School curriculum. This class focuses on foundational gymnastics skills such as body shapes, body awareness, balance, and coordination, while introducing students to beginner-level progressions used in our school-age programs. With an emphasis on skill-building, confidence, and fun, JumpStart sets students up for future success in gymnastics and beyond!
Choosing a Track at Age 7:
When students turn 7 and have completed our JumpStart class, they have the opportunity to choose between two specialized tracks based on their interests and goals:

-
Warriors Program: This track is designed for students who wish to focus on building strength, agility, and basic tumbling skills. The program emphasizes physical fitness, sport development, and personal growth.
-
Grade School Program: This track is tailored for students who enjoy gymnastics and want to continue learning and growing in the sport. It aims to promote physical fitness, self-confidence, and a positive attitude while keeping in line with Artistic Gymnastics as a sport.
Our goal is to build a solid foundation for movement, confidence, and lifelong physical activity. While many children continue into gymnastics, others simply gain the coordination, body awareness, and self-confidence that benefit them in every sport and in everyday life.

Girls Advanced Program (Ages 7+):
Our Girls Advanced Program is designed for students who have mastered foundational skills and want to continue challenging themselves. This class builds on core gymnastics techniques with more advanced progressions and routines. Students develop strength, flexibility, and confidence while working toward personal goals in a supportive and motivating environment. (Students are invited from the Grade School Program)
